Mark Sumption

Mark is running to represent all South Dakotans. He knows the value of hard work and getting things done. In Pierre, Mark will be a champion for working families, a partner to small businesses, and a friend to South Dakota’s agricultural industries.

Mark has a plan to improve access to childcare in our rural communities, bringing together businesses and employees to provide a safe space for children while their parents work.

As a farmer, Mark has been a vocal advocate for landowner rights and supports efforts to protect family farms in South Dakota. In Pierre, Mark hopes to sit on the Committee for Agriculture and Natural Resources and to represent District 1’s rural constituents as we face the looming threats of consolidation and closure.
